Originally developed in collaboration with the NGV for David Shrigley's solo exhibition and as part of the General Store pop up at the NGV Design Store.

About the artist

David John Shrigley, ‘‘I never thought I would become a successful artist, nor did I expect to make a living doing art, I was just doing what I wanted to do.’’

David John Shrigley, a renowned British visual artist. In his creative concept is to make art that speaks to the general public, and so in his works you can often find simple and interesting lines and humorous themes drawn from the details of life. His works span a wide range of media, including painting, sculpture, photography and animation. Through his varied creative style, David Sri brings the "incomprehensible art" commentary back into the lives of the public.
